Design Service / Consultancy

Richco’s involvement starts right from the very beginning of any given project.  We work closely with the creative leads, designers and clients directly to provide custom flooring designs for each individual project or area.  

By being involved in the design stages of the project this enable our installation team to have a clear understanding of the design, specification and colors required during the installation onsite to enable us to deliver an outstanding end project that exceeds our clients’ expectations.

Richco has a dedicated design lab where our samples and product mock-ups are produced.  We welcome our clients to visit our design lab during the design stages of the project to see the samples in production and to provide input and feedback for the design and colors for the samples being produced for their specific project.  We feel this is important for our clients to understand the process and layers that is required to achieve the final result.

From the design brief or themed booklet, that is often provided by our client’s – we often carry out research to find out the flooring required for their particular theme.  For instance, with a London attraction, we had to theme a “jack the ripper” floor and we had to carry out research of that time period to find out the floor pattern of the exterior paving within London streets.  We then recreated the look and feel of the exterior paving for that particular time period and provided our client with a replica cobble stone floor finish.  We often develop new products or designs of our flooring to meet the criteria of our clients.  In addition, we can also mold stamps directly from an existing floor sub-base to recreate the surface and produce a specific replica mold – which makes us unique and sets us apart from our competitors.

Richco have a large range of colors available in any of our product ranges.  Unlike our competitors, Richco also has the ability to match to any color that the client requires in most of our product ranges.  Unlike other manufacturers we are not controlled by standard color ranges.    By getting the color choices correct at the design stages, will then ensure that we deliver the completed project to the clients’ specification and color requirements.

We provide our clients with a number of standard samples for them to choose from to aid them with the design and concept of their own project.  From there we often produce custom samples and product mockups specific for the clients’ project to meet with their design, specification and color choices.  All our product mockups are then signed off before the installation of the specific flooring system onsite. The product mockups also aid our application teams to deliver the same finishes onsite and will often have the mock-ups onsite to reference to the final finishes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Consultancy

Richco offers a consultancy service to be able to bring your concepts to life.  We often get involved right from the beginning of the project to ensure that the project can deliver the clients final expectations. Whether it’s from a fantasy comic story or a video game attraction the concepts often need to be brought to life in the real world.  The biggest challenges sometimes can be the vibrant colors required, the durability of the products and the complex designs required for the installation process.  By using Richco as consultants right from the beginning of any given project – we can delivery the specification that is right for the client.
